If you know a tiger
Well, that’s pretty cool
Escpecially if it’s a young one
Still in school.
But if the tiger’s birthday
Is next week
Do you know what you could get
That it would like to keep?

A tiger wants a forest
Not a city of a beach.
In the forest it can burn bright
And poetic lessons teach.
Give him a book of poems
By the wondrous William Blake
So it can forge some symmetry
Before you all eat cake.
